Today Joe left us. He'd had a tough week and just wasn't eating, and what he was drinking he couldn't keep down. He'd had a problem a couple of months ago, but the vet could tell right away it was different and he was in definite pain. He wasn't the same anymore, and we couldn't let him suffer either. He was a great dog for our family, and we'll miss him dearly.
